Springbrook Nature Center

Connections Between Nature and Design

Springbrook Nature Center is owned, operated, and designated a nature preserve by the City of Fridley. What you see today is 50+ years of hard work, land purchasing, and expansion by the city. Visitors can enjoy 127 acres, over 3 miles of hiking trails, and an Interpretive Center where they can get up close and personal with live snakes, frogs, and more!

The Details

In 2016, The Springbrook Nature Center Foundation raised $5.5M to go toward The Center. When Vision Woodworking heard about this initiative, we knew it was a project we would like to be involved in as a philanthropic partner. We met with the Springbrook Nature Center Foundation team to hear their plans for expansion and how we could be of assistance. Together, it was determined our talents could be used to help remodel the Nature Center.

When the time was right, we got to work designing and building everything for the center in our shop. In total, we designed, built, and installed the following:

  • Curved Reception Desk with Showcase
  • Animal Lab Casework and Wall Shelving
  • Breakroom
  • Large and Small Veneer Casework for multipurpose
  • Floor Displays.

We are honored to be a part of this community project and will forever be a lifelong partner of the Springbrook Nature Center. For more information about the center, visit their website.

This was a pro-bono project. All work was completed and installed by Vision Woodworking.
